Recorded in 1965 and showcasing a number of songs he’d never recorded before, Baker’s Holiday is Chet’s tribute to Billie Holiday and features his instantly-identifiable trumpet along with four trademark vocals. Backed by a full sax section and a four-piece rhythm section that includes pianist Hank Jones, this classic album highlights colourful Jimmy Mundy arrangements.
