No Ritmo da Terra is the second chapter in Antropoceno's trilogy inspired by the work of Ailton Krenak. Conceived around the idea of the Ancestral Future, the album bridges ancestral knowledge and contemporary experimentation, blending Brazilian folk traditions, Candomble and Capoeira chants, and field recordings from the Amazon rainforest with blackgaze, post-rock, glitch, and avant-garde metal. The result is one of the most distinctive sonic landscapes in recent experimental music. Rather than simply juxtaposing traditional and modern elements, No Ritmo da Terra dissolves the boundaries between them, creating an immersive experience where past and future coexist. At times, the music feels as though it is wandering through the ruins of a forgotten tropical civilisation reclaimed by nature--a place where memory, spirituality, and technology converge.Beyond its musical ambition, the album reflects on the ecological and philosophical ideas at the heart of Krenak's work. Challenging anthropocentric notions of humanity's separation from the Earth, it proposes the Ancestral Future as both an artistic vision and a way of reimagining our relationship with the living world.Featuring lyrics in Portuguese, Tupi, and Yoruba, No Ritmo da Terra is more than a fusion of genres: it is an invitation to experience sound as a space where ancestry, resistance, and futurity become inseparable.
