'GAVIN' - Gavin Kerr McGinty is a singer/songwriter, musician and multi-disciplined artist, based on the east-coast of Scotland. He first achieved solo success on the Scottish folk-scene, before forming the Surname collective 'AMWWF' and 'Sinderins' to nationwide acclaim. Gavin has now produced and collaborated with many artists worldwide, his music streamed to thousands and featured on TV, film and advertising.
'THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND YOU' is GAVIN's first full-length self-produced solo album. This is not an auto-biographical work however, relatively speaking, it's an album about you. Believe in yourself. Be brave. Be naive. May the album title serve as a mantra. Featuring an earthly collage of alt-folk/rock sounds with universal lyrical themes of desire, spirituality and the human condition. Recorded and mixed by GK at the Pilot Boat House, 2024. Mastered by Robin Sutherland at Esko and licensed for release on Assai Recordings.
