The film, directed by Alan Parker (Pink Floyd – The Wall, Fame), features an all-star cast with Madonna as the lead role, Jonathan Pryce and Antonio Banderas.

Featuring iconic songs from the stage musical , the soundtrack also includes a song written specifically for the film which went on to win the Oscar for Best Original Song.
